GSP Fragging

I know this is a strange title but I didn't know how to word it. I have recently been giving my LFS frags in exchange for other stuff. So far, so good. They asked if I had any GSP and I have plenty. Some is attached to my glass.

My question is can I use a razor to separate it from the glass and then glue it to a rock? Just curious if anyone has done this or will the stuff just fall apart?

Thx

Ya,.. you can scrape it off, but I've found that glue doesn't work with it very well,.. I would try rubber banding the mat to a rock and waiting for it to attach.

I propagate Green Star Polyps by starting a colony at the bottom ridge of a glass pane in the prop tank and let it grow up the glass. When you're ready to harvest it (usually at about 3-5 months for a 8"x11" pane), run a razor through the stolon base (the mat) and cut the colony into 1" ribbons. These are usually easy to remove, then you can cut them into 1" squares and rubberband them to pieces of rubble and let them attach (usually takes about a week). Great for swap meets or for LFS resale or trades.
