Green star polyps

I picked up a nice rock of them today. However, they took a rough acclamation since the LFS water was 1.031 s.g.! I keep my water at 1.026.
They are in now for about two hours and not open up. Is this normal? Are they hardy?

Might even take a week or longer before they open up.

mine have stayed closed for days and always come back...they are pretty hard to kill. just a tip...put them on your sand bad otherwise they'll spread everywhere.

my have stayed closed for weeks. I wish they would spread like everyone says! ... they are big and bushy and in my rocks, but not spreading at all.

You should say "I'm just waiting for them to spread the glass bottom", as it's only a matter of time. I've had them in a couple tanks, and sometimes it takes a while to get them comfy, but then they explode. If you leave them be, you'll be pretty surprised at the growth. Good luck!
