Green Star Polyp Help

I have a new tank that has recently gone through its cycle. Details are:

150g tank with 125g sump/refugium
3-5ft VHO's
2-400W (10000k) MH's
150-200lbs of well-cured LR

Amonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 0
PH: 8.1
Temp: 78F
Calcium: 380ppm
Kh: 10 degrees

I put in a couple of corals about a week ago, including a small green star polyp colony (2" square). Yesterday, one corner of the colony (about the size of a dime) lost it's color. Sort of a dull grey as opposed to the bright green of the rest of the colony.

Any ideas why? Being a rookie in this hobby is TOUGH!

increase your ph . mine do not like to go below 8.2.
not sure of the color change. how much current is on them?

Is the lighting much different than it was at the lfs? Might be acclimating.

Current in the tank is fairly strong but I have the flow pointed past them so that what they get is indirect. I'm not blowing them off the rock, but they are getting enough current for them to move in what I would describe as a "light wind" effect.

The lighting is definitely different. They were under VHO's and, as I indicated, I've got them under both VHO's and MH's. Currently 1 hr VHO, 4 hr MH, 1 hr VHO. In the process of slowly increasing...

How long has the tank actually been setup and running and how long ago did the "cycle" end?

Is it the "matt" or the polyps that are losing color?

When the "matt" , the part that encrusts the LR it's on, loses it's color that usually means that the discolored part is dieing for some reason. Watch the rest of it, hopefully it will only be the one corner that loses color.

As far as the polyps losing color??? Could be any number of reasons.
