green lobster in acro?

i was looking at my tank this morning and saw this bright illuminous green lobster? . I had seen something in the acro that was green before but i thought it was a mithrax crab, although i did see a small acro crab when i saw the green lobster.

do you guys know what it is and whether its fine in there?

ps sorry about picture quality , just the other side of the tank.

Pistol shrimp are good, how ever unlike other shrimp these will take advantage of small, sick or dieing fish.

My opinion only,,, No.
Green pistols are not common, pail white with red stripes are the more common colors of the pistol species.
I still would think mantis. There are many more of them that are green. But I would be very glad if I was wrong.
Mantis shrimp are very aggressive.

I bet its a mantis, throw some welding leads in the tank and stand back, if your lucky he will die.. I doubt its a pistol, if his claws are kept up under his body, not out front like cleaners and if his eyes are on the end of stalks, not flat on his head its a mantis. Have you recently added new live rock ?

I'd rather have a pistol on the loose than a mantis...jeesh those things are like the equivallent of T-Rex in the crustacean world

Well, I found one link to a shrimp database: Shrimps

I also doubt it's a pistol shrimp... they are a sand-burrowing species, so if you're seeing this in an acropora, it's either a commensal shrimp, or a pistol that's completely lots it's mind.

In that list of shrimps, there's one near the bottom called a 'Green Acropora Shrimp'... does yours look anything like that?

HTH.
