Green Chromis

Are Green Chromis ok for a 55 gal reef? Only other fish is a True Percula. I have the usual worms, hermits, snails, etc. Ton of "pods". Mostly softies and a couple hard corals. Parameters of water are excellent.

If ok, then how many?

Thanks,
bob

I have found Green Chromis to be good fish for a reef aquarium.

They are small, hardy, and add energy to your reef as they dart in and out of the rockwork as they swim.

They also have outstanding color and will tend to schul in numbers.

I have three of them and they are always hang around together (I affectionately call them: Huey, Duey, and Louie)

Corals always respond by opening naturally...

What size is your tank? Will 3 be too much for a 55gal? Also, what is their maximum size attainable?

Thanks

Get them. They only get 1-2 inches or so. I had a 45 and had about 7. I would try at least 5 and if I could, go for 7. They stay small and don't put a big crunch on your bioload because they are so small. Mine loved newly hatched brine shrimp. You'll enjoy them.
