Green Brittle Star for Adoption

I have had my green brittle starfish since Dec 2006. I bought him the size of a quarter, for my son for Christmas. He is now about 1 1/2 feet in length and I have to get rid of him because he likes to eat my fish. I hand feed him every night, either big krill or silversides. As long as I do this he will not eat a live fish. But whenever I travel (which is about once a month) and my husband feeds the fish (he refuses to hand feed my monster), then I come home and another fish is gone. I have read that they can eat fish of all sizes, he only eats smaller fish. His favorite are the dartfish, I think because of the way they lay inside the rocks. Many of my fish I have had before him, and he hasn't bothered them. He has also never bothered any of my coral. I really do love him and want him to have a great home. If I don't hear from anyone I will give him back to my LFS. PM me if interested. Debs

Aw too bad I don't have the big tank any more, I would take him. They are a favorite of mine, kids were fascinated by the "octopus dance" at feeding time

Maybe you should just keep big fish that he won't eat.
