Great Saturday Morning!
Okay..so it is 4:21am on the east coast... I was up, and on, so thought I would start it and wish everyone a great WARM Saturday! Hope everyone without power is getting back by now, and the casualties are minimal to none! Prayerfully my roomies will help me bag the leaves I raked last week, which, of their own accord, have not volunteered to help...grrrrr
ohwell...have a great one everyone!

Good morning Jeremy, Casey and everyone else in TRT land.
Jeremy I can send you my youngest to help with the leaves. It takes him all day but he's cheap.
Ricky has two baseball tryouts this weekend so we're pretty anxious about that. He's been hitting in the cages some this week so I think he's ready.
Everyone have a great weekend.

We went from 86F and sunny yesterday to 63F windy and damp today. It's the winter yo-yo for us.
Got the yard decorated last week, put the tree up yesterday. Playing Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas album!
Thinking seriously about cooking fattening foods today. LOL

Hey Jerel, did you end up trying Frank's Fabulous Fettucini Alfredo recipe?
I thought I heard the sound of arteries hardening in the distance....
Good morning all!

Jenn, I did and messed it up somehow. I used grated parma and it ended up globed up in the bottom of the pot. I'm using the real stuff next time. OH, I threw in a big handful of shrimp and crab with it too.
It tasted out of this world though!

We use the stuff in a jar, as long as it's 100 % parmesan, no fillers (what ARE those "fillers" anyway? Sawdust?!)
I can't have the shimp and crab, I'd blow up like a balloon and end up in hospital (allergies!) but it sounds delicious!
Globs is not cool.... try the Kraft grated parmesan in a can/jar, it doesn't glob.
Lots and lots of garlic...yummmmm

Good morning everyone
It is a comfortable 19 outside. We are going to finish our Christmas tree today and like Jerel, make some Christmas foods . I made some of Jerel's southern corn bread last night, boy-howdy, that is good .
Have a great weekend everyone
Jon

Mawnin TRT!!
Power is a wonderful thing....and not just Duke power
I did a miniscule water change last night, as that's all I had to work with then. Now I'm making more water and will be able to do another tomorrow AM or so.
Gotta throw away the food in my frige, and while I'm at it, might as well clean it. (what an idea!) Also have to move some of the branches that were lost.
And thinking of what Jerel said... I'm going to make Tiramisu for my department Christmas dinner tonight. Wheee!
BTW, Jerel...grate fresh parmesean!! The taste difference is worth the bother & expense.
We're proud of ya, Rick! You're such a good baseball dad for Ricky!

Oh brother, decisions decisions!
Home made chili with corn bread or Alfredo with shrimp tonight.
I'm dying here! Is there anything wrong with making that for breakfast?

Good morning! It's actually above freezing now (34), and should warm up into the 40s... that means the Christmas lights are going up. We'll probably put the tree off for another week, seeing as how the cats took it down twice last year. We're going to anchor it to the wall this year.
Good luck cleaning up Cath... hopefully things will pull through. The same goes for Tom - I don't know if his power is back, but my heart hurts for the losses of his beloved fish.
I'm done for the semester, and it's the weirdest feeling... so much to do - but so much time to do it! That, and I can finally get into the Christmas spirit without feeling guilty that I'm losing good studying time.
I've gotta try that Alfredo recipe... it does sound mahvelous!
