Got my first new Elegance
I ordered an Elegance through my LFS. Never bought a coral without seeing it first. It wasn't as big or as healthy as I was expecting, but it will come around.
Here he is on day one. Mouths were open and he was all limp. Not a very happy coral.
14K MH shot around day 3. Starting to perk up a bit.
And here he is today, about a week later. He still has a ways to go before he'll be showing his true potential, but he'll get there. His mouths are closed tight, and he eats like this!

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

I about spit my tea all over the monitor when I read that.
I don't have a fuge or algae at the moment. I'm setting up a 33long with nothing in it but elegance corals sitting on pieces of PVC pipe.

Thanks yawl. It ate two feeder fish today, so I'm sure it will just keep improving.

Got two more for my collection. Found a local reefer that said he had an eight inch elegance and a smaller one. He also said that they were both from Australia. I went to pick them up and naturally, the largest one was far from eight inches. That didn't bother me to much. The price was right so I took them. They sat in my tank next to the other elegance all night while the lights were off. They looked okay this morning before the lights came on. The wife, having been with me through all the Indonesian Elegance coral research I did, walked in shortly after the lights came on. She asked,"I thought these were Australian Elegance. I replied, "They are." She said, "No they're not." I got up and went over to the tank and they were swollen up like two balloons. I quickly moved them to the sump, out of the light. The swelling went down as usual. Needles to say I was not happy. I decided to take some pic's to document their recovery/demise. Look what I found when I blew up the pic's on the computer. FLAT WORMS!

Thats too bad. Do you think they will make it? Will they harm the healthy coral you bought before? How is it doing? Will the guy give your money back? Sorry so many questions.

Sorry to hear that EC. Do they tolerate FW treatments?
