Me too, Tim, but the prices are soooo much better the longer you wait!! The very best bargains are on Christmas Eve!!!

The worn-out buck got enough rest as he rises to resume the mission of finding his perfect love among the small herd of does.

Have a Terrific Thursday!!

Dick

Cool

Good mawnin' Tim, loverotties, Dick and all of TRT!!

Thanks for the coffee, Tim. Just what I needed to go with my oatmeat!

Yup, Dick, that buck looks like he's on a mission, fer sher.

Yesterday I had to call down a patron who was smoking in the library!! He was sitting at one of the internet puters in the AV area, and had his cigarette resting on the edge of the counter. I walked over and said (probably too loud, but...) "you CANNOT smoke in the library! Go put it out and you may come back. And while you're at it, sign in like you're supposed to". Anyone that follows the rules may use the library, which includes internet access. No library card is needed, but ya gotta follow the rules. Shees.

Food!!! Civitan dinner is tonight, so I got to sleep in an hour this AM

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

ugggghhh...

HEH... smokin' in the Library...

...too bad we don't have a film clip o THAT event...

I discovered a new food item this morning, FROZEN SOUTHERN BISCUITS. They are actually REALLY good! Now if the coffee maker would just take about 20 seconds to make really good coffee instead of 7 minutes, I'd be in Instant Gratification Heaven!

Morning Tim, Loverotties, dick, cath and sleepyheads

That's some fine tasting coffee Tim

Loving the deer pics Dick, think we are going to have to give that chap a name!

Cath, my wife works in the library too and she tell some real horror stories. I think the worst patron they have is the one who smears her hads in vasaline every few minutes (and I mean smears) then stays on the computers for hours. That's the new persons job.... cleaning the keyboard after she leaves . Add to that the fact that she calls every male within 5 feet of her a rapist (loudly). Everyone just shudders when she walks through the door!

Hope you all have a good day

Steve

Sounds like a job for the Library SWAT Team!! The way Cath handled the smoker, I would nominate her for Team Chief!!

Morning all!

Systems maintenance day... lots of scrubbin' to do. Had a late hairport run last night too, ugh. Still cold here too... hate cold. Sun is shining though, it's wamer in the sun... beats the heck out of rain... or snow!!

Well I guess I'd better get it into gear...

Cathy... EWWW on the smoking patron. What was he thinking??!

Steve - that patron has some serious issues... 'nuff said.

It does seem that libraries attract some 'colourful' characters, don't they?

I think I need to pick up some more tea at the store... I'm off coffee for a bit, hot tea just seems more soothing when it's cold out.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Jenn

Morning all, time to head for court, got to pay the ticket from my wreck. Did not have proof of insurance or my registration paper in my truck when I had the accident, I have to show the judge these and then he will not throw me in the pokey. It is cold here in West Tennessee this morning hope it hangs in there for the weekend. Must kill some of them quack quacks.

Good morning everyone

Still dark here; I just love getting up in the dark and coming home in the dark, NOT. I have been doing some Christmas shopping after work though, just making my way through my lists and trying not to do impulse buying. Though I did buy myself a new outfit last night, lol.

Tis the food season is right, Dick! I don't know why but all the tins of cookies and boxes of candy seem to end up on my desk at work and my magic wand that I used to wave over them to remove the calories seems to have a short in it or something.

Tangcrazy, good luck in court today. I'm glad you aren't going to end up in the pokey!

Hope everyone has a great day - we're almost there this week!

hehehe! what an idea, Kevin! is this going the food thread route?

BTW...we have good security guards in our library, and beyond that, it's everyone's business to keep alert. The public library is the great equalizer..ANYONE has access, but the rules must be maintained. I say that vaseline patron needs to be given a warning, and if she doesn't change, then she's out of there!

Whew. I better get off that podium now...

back to work, kids
