Good Things or Bad Things?

First I want to apologize for not having pix but trust me we dont want to go there.

Ive noticed a few things in my tank the last few days and I'm not sure if they are good or bad.
1. Little white starfish? My tank has been up and running for over a yr now and I have not added any lr in that time. I have no idea where these guys could have come from. I know I have at least 4

2. Under several of my rocks Ive noticed there little white almost clear stringy things. They kinda look like upside down trees or small see through roots.

3. TINY little whit qtip looking things. When I say Tiny I mean tiny. They are not much bigger than the head of a needle. At first I thought they were those little white feather dusters but they aren't. I have at lest a dozen of those scattered through the tank.

4. Pink thorn looking things all over my lr. They are also very small and ver brittle they break very easily. I have them all over the lr in my tank.

Once again I'm sorry about not have pix to post.
Hope you can help me figure out what some or all of these things are.

Thanks.
Patrick

Hmm. Don't know if you have what I have in my tank, but I'm pretty sure the baby stars are good (or at least not bad) inhabitants. I have tiny clear stringy things that pop out from tubes (usually in my sandbed) - that I think are a type of worm (spaghetti worm?) Detritus feeder I think, also not a bad thing to have.

3 and 4, I have no idea about!! Whenever I see something new, I usually check out this webpage first: http://wetwebfotos.com/Home?actionRe...ew&userID=2470

thanks Sambo I guess the stringy looking things(#2) are rock dwelling cucumbers or like you said spaghetty worm. Looks more like the cuc because they are only on the btm of the rocks not on the top like her spaghetti. Thats s a great link thanks

yeap those are the ones I have but mine seem to be pretty beaten up like maybe something has already chewed a cpl of arms of each. They tend to stay on the glass or lr. Should I pull them out?

I have no idea if hey are good or not. I read on here that the ones on the glass are ok and the ones on the LR are not. All of mine have been on the LR.

They have odd shapes and different numbers of arms. Most are reef safe, regardless of whether they are on the glass or rock.
