Good *onday Morning!

Good Morning, Everybody!

Winter is back after a week of Spring-like weather! 38 this morning and maybe a little snow/rain tonight and tomorrow. Not the best weather for FishGirl's middle school retreat in the mountains for the next 3 days. Just as long as they stay dry and warm, they'll still have a good time.

This church was built in 1840 in North Carolina and brought to the Museum of Appalachia in 1976. The log benches and pulpit are original to the church.

Time to wake FishGirl and get ourselves ready to go.

Have a great day!

Dick

Hi Dick and good morning to you and the TRT folks! A nice 40 this morning with a gorgeous afternoon forthcoming. A little sleepy this morning as usual on the day after a weekend! LOL That's ok I have my cold drink and plenty of work for today! Hope everyone has a great day! Tell fishgirl to bundle up and the retreat will be just fine!

Good Mawnin' Dick, Jim and all of TRT....Tim? you hiding out there?

Whew!! What a windy evening we had yesterday. We were over at Dad's last night when the wind really picked up. Odd sounds out there, so my sister stepped out into the breezeway to see what it was, and the flags were going nutzo with the wind. Looking out in my back yard this AM I see that a large branch fell...thank goodness it was far from the house.

Yup, Dick, we have the same rain/snow event for tomorrow. I bet Mary Elizabeth and the kids will have a great time! I hope she's goint to take pictures

Last duty today, so at least I can be a bit relaxed until noon.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

big fat snowflakes out the window this morning. have no idea if its just flurries or if its going to pile up. dosen't matter, i can't stop it either way

besides, i won't mind just one more 2' blizzard before we give way to spring.

I built a terrarium for my 5-year-old hermit crab yesterday, half the tank is 3" of water and the other is 4" of southdown, i've got a filter setup on the water side and a sloping shelf with seashells epoxied to it so the crab can climb out of the water if he falls in. The little dude seems to like it so far, but i think i'll need a more powerful pump cause it keeps quitting on me. its an aquaclear mini.... i'll have to try either the larger aquaclears that i have or the whisper i still have. i'll mess with it tonight after work.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all.

Worked til midnight last night. The store shines, except for the systems, all of which need a good scrub and water change - but what else is new?

We had some high winds last night, knocked a tree over, and it kissed the neighbour behind's house - she came pounding on our door in the midst of the gale, yammering on about insurance claims and police reports We couldn't see any damage but it was dark.

This morning at 7:30 she was pounding on our door again. This is the ONE day a week that Scott can sleep in after the kids go to school (he starts work at 11) and I'm tired and trying to beat this cold... we didn't answer. She came to the front door at 8 - Scott opened the door to a blast of her old crumudgeon self... she's going on and on about a police report...

If a tree falls in a subdivision, does it break a law?

I went over and had a look - since I'm up now There are 2, dime-sized chips in her vinyl siding - easy to fix with 2 more pieces of siding ... hardly worthy of a call to the insurance company ($500 deductible - methinks NOT), and hardly worthy of panic.

We've lived here almost 4 years - she's been miserable to us since we asked her not to toss her grass clippings over the silt fence into out back yard She told Scott this morning in her rampage, "I don't even know your name, FELLA!" At that point he said he'd drop some information off at her door and closed the door... any more and he'd have let it fly - Scott is NOT a morning person.

We know her name, and her vehicle - every time I've ever waved to her she has never waved back... miserable. I guess she's lonely, she's older and retired and lives alone - this tree thing is probably the most excitement she's had in years... it's a low-excitement item on my list

To top it all off, my furnace crapped out overnight ...

Happy *onday
