Good Morning, Valentine's Day!!
Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone!
A cloudy 34 with maybe some rain later in the day here on Rocky Top. A good day to spend with those you love!
This was taken a couple of year ago of FishGirl and a puppy, but thought it would be a good Valentine's Day image. I call it "Puppy Love".
Enjoy the day!

Good morning Dick and Drew and all of TRT.
Drew it's good to see you around again.
Dick what a cute picture of two pups.
Rain in the ATL all weekend. We were supposed to have our first baseball game tomorrow but it's looking like it will be rained out.
Everyone have a great Valentines day.

Been up for a while but just came down to the dungeon. I am working my p/t job this weekend but I will try to get some tank cleaning and a water change in. I hope you all have a great day.

Awww... very cute pic.
Well yesterday was a blast
One of the parts companies we get stuff from had a great idea- to put their parts catalog on CD and distribute it to all the body shops. They used to have it in books that were just a PITA to use. Well they passed out this wonder of technology yesterday shortly before lunchtime, and since we were curious about how it was setup (like out computer est system where you just punch in Y/Ma/Mo or if it was some way else) and since it was lunchtime we loaded it up. Upon restart, i get the message "Can't find [some important] DLL file....... MUST RELOAD WINDOWS...
Greeaaat.......
Called techie....
It was too screwed up, couldn't do anything in safe mode, couldn't redo windows, couldn't do anything in DOS... so i hauled the computer out and made the 2.5 hour trip up nawth to where our techie (friend of the family) lives and have him fix it. There was no local techie who could fix it before next tuesday so it was really our only option, and our techie's car is about dead.
Right about when i left the shop to make the trip, the parts company called up and told my dad "Don't download the disk!" He told them alot of good it does us now cause i'm on my way out to get it fixed.
Its fixed now, but it corrupted files in our windows as well as our rather expensive and info-filled estimating program- we could have lost our whole customer database which would have really stunk. but it all was saved and everything is fine now.
it was just a really wild friday.
I came home to a dozen red roses and a box of nice chocolates

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Today is also my mom's birthday--so I've already been on the phone with her this morning.
Gotta take Mikayla to her craft class a little later.
Icebear---sounds like a rough day all around....
Have a good one...
Jodi

Yes, my dad was really worried and so was my mom (the business is basically just us three, my dad does the body work himself, i hold down the office and mom helps me make sure i'm getting all the important stuff covered- not forgetting anything etc- she has her own job besides that at an insurance company)
so as far as getting the thing fixed, i didn't want my dad spending the whole weekend worrying about the computer. he works too hard, he needs his weekend worry-free more than i need a relaxing Friday evening and he'd never order me out to make the trip so i basically told him i'm going to go get it fixed now, there's no sense in waiting.

Morning all!
:::::Passes around those little sour candies with cheesy phrases like "Be Mine" and "You Flirt" on 'em:::::
Another day in the construction zone. Fire marshall was supposed to inspect yesterday. I did see his truck in the parking lot at one point, figured he was here to inspect but I think he went to lunch at the restaurant down the mall instead I hate red tape.
Otherwise things are moving along slowly now - waiting on this and that, slowly getting new stuff in each week. It will be a slow process until the shelving system for the FW section comes in... then we'll be rocking and rolling again.
My brother in law stopped in yesterday -- in his 18-wheeler. He was parked behind our mall and we went for a bite of dinner - when we came back the police were knocking on the cab door - my landlord was mad that I didn't tell him somebody parked their CAR after the fact, and blocked people from driving around the building... the way was clear when we left an hour before... Anyway I'm sure the landlord will be over it today, but glad we got back before Chris' rig was towed away He'd have some 'splaining to do... He's probably somewhere in Kentucky now, he left last night and was going to put some miles behind him before he went to sleep for a few hours. It's funny - he still lives in Canada, and since we moved to the US, we see him more now than we ever did. He gets the long hauls down here quite often. It's nice to touch base with family, especially since they are all so far away.
Icebear: BACK UP YOUR DATA!!! Many many disasters can be averted or restored from a good back up! If your computer has a CDR, store your data on that and remove it from the premises each day. If you don't have a CDR either get one or perhaps something like a zip drive, and remove the floppy each day. Even if the place burns down (God forbid) if you have a backup in another location, you haven't lost your data. Nowadays it only takes a few minutes to do a backup - where I used to work we used to have to do a tape back-up every day - it took 45 minutes or more, I had to do it after everybody logged off at the very end of the day. The computer would write the tape and then read it to make sure it was correct - if it wasn't correct it would re-write and re-read all over again... It was a major PITA but it was necessary. Nowadays you can back it all up in seconds to minutes - take the minutes and have the peace of mind Glad it was all restored, but save yourself the aggrivation for next time.
Dick - cute pic... I betcha they've both grown a lot since then!
Hug someone you love today
Jenn

Yaaaawwwwnnn!
Good Mawnin' TRT!!! When I woke up at 7:30, I couldn't figure out what day it was But when I figured out it was Saturday, I decided to sleep in a bit, and now I have to *rush* to get ready for a special choir rehearsal at 10:00.
Drew!!! it's great to see you.
Yes indeed, Dick! That's a great Valentine's picture. There's all kinds of love out there that's ready to be embraced
Tonight Bobbi (my sister), her husband and I are going over to Dad's to listen to Prairie Home Companion which is broadcasting from Memorial Auditorium right here in Spartanburg. Since the tickets were out of my price range, listening to the show is just great!
Lots and lots of love, hugs and peace to everyone!

Did someone steal your candy from the class Valentine's party when you were a kid, ScoobityDoobity? I think the idea of the day is a great one but if you're talking about the commercialism, I agree. Steve and I have never spent scads of $ on V-Day and I refuse to buy the $5 cards from Hallmark. I have a few little off-beat stores where I like to shop for cards and I pick a blank one with a picture I know he would like and write my own message. That being said, I saw some gorgeous orchids this week...
LOL Jenn, I bought some bags of the "conversation hearts" for the candy dish at work and I found one that said "book club." What the heck does that mean?
Awww, that's a sweet picture, Dick.
I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy today with someone you love!
