Good Morning, Thursday!

Good morning, everybody!

A chilly 20 on Rocky Top this morning but expected to be a nice day in the mid-40s.

It's time to get FishGirl up and ready for school. I know she isn't going to want to wake up as she had to stay up well after normal bedtime studying and doing homework. I don't remember 6th grade being this tough!!

Oatmeal is eaten and on my second cup of coffee so it's time to wake Sleeping Beauty and get busy!!

Since this is a reef board, I thought I'd post a reef-related photo....an "Orange Starfish".

Have a great Thursday!

Dick

Morning all. Glad to see that this morning is a bit less eventfull. Don't worry Jim I canot see them either. Thank goodness it is MY friday. I work Sunday to Thursday. I am ready for this week to be over. Got lots of school work to do this weekend though so it is really not much of a break. Also going to take on opperation Nitrates this weekend. For some reason my Nitrates are getting up there so I am going to take all the corals out that I can and change the water fro the main tank this time instead of the sump. Going to try to suck out some of the nasties while I am at it. Wish me luck. maybe the clown will hide this time so I don't get the crap beat out of my hand this time. She is a bit protective.

"Da Bear" is better than icebeard LOL

Now that i've had my 3 cupsaJo (yes thats oneword!)

Good news.....

Hubby is back to work today.

The car problem- was nothing, just the air flow regulator connecter plug was loose, probably last time hubby took it to the oil change conglomerate, when they checked the air filter they may have tugged it loose- that explains the spark plug that was a bit grimy. what a relief! the car just wasn't getting its air i guess....

but our daughter still has a temp of 100, so no daycare today...bring your daughter to work day! If her temp goes any higher or dosen't go down throughout the day i'll be making an appointment for Friday am.

I'm lucky i work for my dad, no other boss would put up with these things. And this is why i fought to stay home untill our daughter was 2 (at the time hubby didn't understand my reasoning for not wanting to put an infant in daycare- he's learned since then )

dunno, i imagine it requires an acidic environment to reduce tissue breakdown

Hello all, just browsing this cold morning. It is a nice 26 below here

i think that starfish would be a little more "White" in my tank.
but then without any sun the last two weeks that cold explain the color loss..

Morning all!

I've missed a couple of morning threads... had to get out on the road extra early to play "catch up" and etc...

The tea is good this morning. I had a fitful night of sleep I hate it when that happens.

Let's see... updates... we got the phone cable pulled in on Monday, Scott put in the new phone jack on Tuesday night before Cub Scouts, then after Cub Scouts, and after dinner which included a margarita, we moved the front counter to the new half. Yesterday I was slammed all day but managed to tidy a bit, Scott F and his better half, Chris, dropped in to lend a hand (thanks, you two!!!). Last night my Scott got the vinyl floor scrubbed in the fish room... got rid of all the rust spots left by the store shelving versus the occasional flood so the floor looks new again, while I tweaked the arrangement of products on the shelves in the new section.

We took out a half a ton of garbage (boxes, and stuff) before we left last night, now we have a bit of ROOM!

Today's agenda includes further tweaking of the product arrangement, receiving a bunch o'freight, and more general housekeeping of the FO and reef systems (remember those...? )

Scott has a small install to do tonight too... there aren't enough hours in a day... or a night!

Jenn

Mornin all...

It was -13 this morning...but I see Aquarius has us beat in Northern WI. I got a particularly nasty migraine yesterday afternoon and am still feeling the residual effects. I may go home after my meeting with the architects that are working on the Children's Medical Center later this morning.

I'm off of work tomorrow and will glad to not have to climb out of my warm bed at 5 a.m.

Have a great Friday-Eve!

Jodi

Morning to you all. A nice cold day here in KC. Windchills of anywhere between -2 and -15 degrees. Or should I word that as -15 to -2 degrees?

Everyone have a great day!
