Talking

Good evening.

Heh,heh, something different. Missed the morning, so must wish a good evening to all.

Man, did the Benadryl, suggested by board members, last time my fingers were burnt, ever do the job. It was almost cleared up a day later. Me thinks I better wear gloves when putting the reef back in.

On a another note, it was -36c last night, and -38c tonight.

Glad to hear your fingers are ok Doug! I never use gloves in the tank when moving LR and have felt the burn of bristle worms as well. Johnny

Been thier done that Doug. I suggest removing a couple of worm and putting them outside for the evening. It doesnt help the pain but it sure feels good.

Doug,
Glad the fingers are better; I carry Benadryl all the time; cream and capsules.
Have you gotten the goods across the street yet? That's got to be a nippy undertaking with your weather.

Please tell me that F not C
FWIW I keep a squeeze bottle of elmers school glue handy, smear it on affected fingers and peal off, takes most of the bristles out

I never knew they made a cream also, Dick, will have to get some.

Doug, now I see what your doing with the glue. I have tried working with various gloves, and its hard to feel things. To many squishy things in a reef.

Thats is -38 C. The high yesterday was -23 C But thats ok. After 30 years in Thompson, 500 miles north of here, , many times it hit the -50 C mark, without wind chill. Got any room on that boat, Spanky.

We dont take over the new house, until Feb. 1. Perhaps it will be warmer then. I have several modifications to make to the tank. Lower the stand. Remove the overflows, thus making it larger.

The scrubber will sit on its own stand, behind the tank, feeding into the back, with the surge going forwards to the front. So it will take a week or so, to get everything ready. Tubs until then.
