good deal on a calcium reactor?

What do you guys think? I guy is selling this locally. if it's going to mean a healthier, more stable, less labor intense 125g tank then I'm all for it. Let me know!

Its hard to say because its a home made reactor. Tank and reg is probably worth about $120. I personally would not pay that much for a home made reactor. You can find a used Korallin 1502 for about $300-350 complete.

yeah i didn't realize it was a DIY type of thing. It doesn't look bad, but I wanted to get a few opinions before i picked it up... it obviously works, the guys been around cincyreef.com for quite some time and had a hell of a nice sps tank

Well, 285 will buy you a brand new aluminum co2 tank, regulator and eheim.

Keep in mind if you need it shipped that the co2 tank will have to be emptied, then refilled when you get it (around $20).

It's not a bad deal, but I would rather spend around 500 for a brand new setup; but then again I'm not a big fan of used equipment.

He has had it for sale for a while. If you do pick it up offer him $200. He may counter but you'll get a better deal.
