good cure for hair and bubble algae

been working on a stand and canopy for my tank for the last couple weeks, and in the process kinda forgot to do my waterchange last week. didnt think much of it because i know alot of people do biweekly waterchanges. well looking in there now i have a small patch of a reddish color hair algae, and a little spot of bubble algae. phosphate and nitrate levels are still undetectable.

how should i go about getting rid of this algae before it becomes a big problem???

i have a small cleanup crew, 2 astrias, 2 cerith snails, 2 conchs, a cb shrimp, emerald crab, and a thorny starfish i also grow chaeto in my sump

get a tweezers and try and pull off as much as you can.
That's the best way...it's never easy.

pinching it under the bubble at the stem and pop it off, do it in your taken out water. in the bucket. for the hair algae, just pull as much as possible. and torching the rest isnt a bad idea, get one of the blow torch lighters for the gas station.

your "bubble" algae sounds like it may be slime w/ bubbles trapped under it. Do the bubbles look like grapes on a stem, or bubbles under a mat?

so long as it doesn't look like this I think you'd be safe to siphon it off the rock. I get bubbles under slime & siphoning takes care of it. I just take the flared end off the gravel vacuum so it's a ~.5" tube that sucks real hard.

I bought a used tank that had these growing in it. They're like gel-caps or thicker.
