Gold Headed Sleeper Goby

Hey does anyone have one of these? I picked one up saturday from the lfs, and for the first day he was happy and sifting through all the sand and whatnot, but since the first day at lights out i have not seen him. I have no sump so its not possible hes in there. I checked all around the tank he did not jump. Theres nothing in the tank thats a carnavore so no chance in that. Do they make a home under rocks or anything? Or the sand? Im kinda worried

I can tell you my experience with my Yellow Watchman Goby.

After I put him in the tank, I didn't see him for alittle while. I have alot of rock in the tank and he was just getting used to the tank and his new surroundings. After a few days, he became more adventurous and started swimming out from under the rockwork.

Just be patient. See what happens when you put some food in there too.

He may just be feeling out the tank. Give it some time.

I can relate to how you feel. I got a GH Sleeper about a month ago .. he's about 8 inches long and I couldn't find him several times in my 75g!!!

He was well hidden in the back under a rock ledge in a little ditch he had dug for himself. Even after a month, he still has a tendancy to hide out in the back if the other fish are very active out front.
