glasscages.com

Has anyone had any experiences with them.

Looking for a 30x12x24. Local quotes are ridiculous.

Good tanks but a tad pricey.

Hey my tanks have to be shipped to me..... local pick up is always best. Shipping charges are a scam.

I have heard several stories about their customer service as well. You might want to spend some time searching on various enthusiest websites before ordering.

I can't pull up their website for some reason. An obvious guess would result in their tanks being made of glass? Just MHO, but I'd avoid glass. Acrylic is more expensive but well worth it in the long run.

Over the years I've had chipped edges that result in slow leaks, silicone going bad, resulting in salt leaks from the top, silicone in the corners changing color, not to mention the obvious hazzard of potential smashing if something hard hits it. Acrylic solves all that...but that's just MHO.

I have seen a couple and they were very sloppy siliconing the panes together. The bracing around the top and bottom was 2 pieces that was seperated at opposite corners (purposely), this was like the trim on an AGA tank but was not one piece. Must just be for looks or to hide the silicone job on the bottom pane? They had glass bracing on the top.
