I've never dealt with them myself, but I've heard allot of bad things over the years. The flip side is they have allot of happy customers as well,.. so I guess you never can tell.

I have done a lot of reading up on them and my opinion is to stay away. Their silicone-jobs are ugly and they don't have pretty euro-bracing. If you DO buy from them...insist that you pay them ONLY AFTER you see the final work....I wouldnt pay them in advance one penny

I have a glasscages tank. Love it and the customer service was OK for me. That is all I can say since I have nothing else to base it on.

ugly silicone would not be acceptable... hows the silicone look on yours hop?

Whiskey, is there a website for lemarr? if i remember right thats who built your 180.

im finally sick and tired of acrylic!!!!! but after being used to the clarity of acrylic im thinking low-iron/starphire glass is the way to go.

I have a glass cages tank as well. I have seen good and bad from them so it is a gamble. I probably would not do a rimless tank where it needs to be super clean from them. My silicone job was done pretty well.

Woh,.. good memory,. half the time I don't remember who made my tank. I am very happy with it,.. but I've never been able to find a websight for them. I did contact them at one point about weather or not the bottom was tempered, but I don't remember where I got that info, I think it was from an LFS that sold there tanks.

lol, when i read "low iron glass 180 made by LeMarr"(or something like that) it sounded cool, so the name kinda stuck in my head somehow...

is the low-iron glass noticeably clearer than your 125 was?

Yeah,.. It is definitally less green, and it's thicker glass. But! Starfire is even clearer than Low Iron is.

i figured a rimless starphire 120 (4x2x2) for a decent price is definately worth asking about. but with glass cages sounding hit or miss.. unfortunately id probably miss

my tank is kinda big for the room its in now(4ft would be alot better), plus my acrylic is all scratched up not even a year after setting it up, so im kinda playing with the idea of getting something different...

Leemar is at leemarpet.com. A lot of local reefers have their custom tanks made by lee-mar because they are close to us. They definitely do good work. I like their custom stands. Nice and tall with wide doors to get under the hood with. I almost had them build a custom system for me not too long ago.

mike for what it's worth i think the stock tanks are far better than when you want things drilled. Several folks in town have stock tanks from them with no issues whatsoever. but we also had a local guy that ordered a drilled tank and that did not go so well. THey didn't do as he asked, and then stuck him with the tank.
