giant pod

exactly how big do these things get? lastnight I saw 1 that was at leas this long: ---- and about this wide: _ he had lots of legs, 2 antinas, clearish brown body, he was on the LR he didn't like the light. Ran pretty darn fast. he looks like the other critters that are on my glass. I heard that if you get too many of there they can irritate corals.I am going to get a mandrine as my last fish addition, in about a year. I wonder if he will eat such big ones??

If you look on the Reefkeepers mailing list you will find a thread about a pod identification, started by Mindrasr, and answered by Dr. Ron. The pod in question was identified as a predator of fish, and kinda resembles what you described. There is a pic, if I can find it I'll post it.
