getting new lights soon!

I just paid for a 2 65 watt pc fixture from a guy on reef central. He should be shipping it out soon. Just wondering though, since this will double the ammount of light in my tank, how long should I leave it running? I don't have a set lighting schedule now since I'm not in a hurry to buy a timer, but on weekends especially(assuming I don't get into school this semester) I turn on the lights at around 12:00 when I leave for work and turn them off around 11-11:30 when I get home/ On weekdays I usually turn them on a bit earlier and assuming I don't fall asleep first, they're usually never on for fore more than 8-10 hours. 8 being an average ammount.

I definately don't want to spazz out my corals from doubling the lighting(especially since I am nursing my already bleached brain coral back to being a nice brick red still) but I don't want to light starve them either. So how should I get the corals acclimated to the new lights once I get them?

I would start them at an hour a day, and work your way up 1 hour per week until you hit your desired photoperiod.

Okay, but what about on weekends? Just get up an extra hour or so to turn the lights on and off? And really? Going from 65-130 watts would need to just start off at an hour a day? Wow, I would have totally fried mine if I hadn't asked! I'd probably have started at 3-5 a day!
