are they fairly easy to install?guess i just havent seen one before(or maybe i have and dont know it lol)..what about this hofle gurgle buster or something like that i have been hearing about?-drew

that was gonna be my guess. i don't have any bottom drilled tanks and don't use durso's, so i don't really have any good advice...

hey guys have the sump filled..eheim is not working..dont even hear a hum..i will be pretty dissapointed if this pump doesnt work and will never buy used again..do they have to be primed?any other pointers on these pumps?-drew

Yes prime or suck on the retuen.

No, you don't have to prime an Eheim.. take the pump out and take it apart. Soak everything in vinegar over night.

great news guys got it all going..no leaks..and pretty silent actually..will be much better when i get a durso..much easier than i imagined but of course would still be stumped without TRT..so thanks a bunch guys..and thanks to tony on the eheim recommendation..i had to check if it was going a couple of times its so quiet..and the 1250 def seems be a good match for the tank..so there ya go mission accomplished.. i will be posting pics in the build thread by tommorow hopefully..!-drew
