gauging intrest in pendant/reflector...(nano size ?)

ok some of you have already seen some pics of a previous reflector that I designed and made for a custom pendant that I am making for someone. anyway looking at the reflector got me to thinking that it would make a prety cool "stand alone pendant" , so I decided to get a little more material and make another reflector based off the same design but one that could hold a peice of glass, so this is what I came up with. the pics are of a 70/150w DE pendant/reflector the measurments are 9" (long) x 6 1/2" (wide) x 3 3/4" (tall).

now this is the part that everyone want's to know HOW MUCH DOSE IT COST...well I'm going to try and work on getting a little better prices on material but I honestly don't know if I can actualy lower the price that I think I WOULD HAVE TO GET for these to be able to make any money at all...so just for the pendant/reflector AND glass would you all pay $60. for this ?? I was even thinking that as a option I could even paint the outside of the pendant/reflector with some black heat paint...oh yea there is also a 250w one which is a little larger but and I THINK the price will prob only be a couple bucks more if at all....

oh yea I just "gutted" one of my regent shop lights so I could get somthing inside this so that stuff is not included....and I also am working on a littel something to help cover where the wires are to clean up the wiring a little...

so what you guys think ? give me all your thoughts...should I keep on trying to do this or just scrap the idea....

Must agree! I REALLY like that, and wish you had posted this a week ago, before I ordered my new lights!! That look would have went perfectly with my tank. The stands very modern/aluminum. MAN would that have went nicely!

Nice job!

I looks good, Try a working unit and see how much a plug and play unit will cost. I don't really mind DYI but most people want to take it out of the box and plug it in.

well I don't think I got the response that I was hoping for with these, so I'm not sure if I'm going to "invest" in making some up......but for the few who have said that they want one please PM or e-mail me with what you want and I'll get with you.

FWIW I was'nt able to come up with "good prices" on the stuff to make it a "plug and play" light fixture but if wanted the parts could be bought and shipped to me so I could hook up to the "pendand" so that way those who are'nt DIY savvy don't have to worry about it...
