FW dips

I have a monti cap that I think has some type of parisite. Parts of the corals are bleached and I see smal wormlike critters on it. I think they might be nudibranches. .

Would it be safe for the coral to just dip it in some ro water to remove the parasite? Do I have to add anything to it or can i use plain ro water and put the coral in for a minute or to and shake off the pests?

In general, I wouldn't recommend FW dips for sps, they tend to do poorly IME. Do you have any iodine or a store bought coral dip? I'd use that first. there are parasites that will eat montis, if you can see them, then i would strongly consider QT for the specimen until you can get a dip. You may have to do multiple treatments too.

i never had any luck with FW dips..not even with fish..lol

Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure (TMPCC), or any of the name brand stuff (Kent, Seachem, etc.). They are all basically iodine based. It's something I'd strongly recommend for everyone to have. You should always dipnew corals and keep some on hand to treat sick ones.
