Perfectly fine as long as your other fish and shrimp/crabs are larger than the lion. Mine doesn't bother my small hermits but made a meal of a cleaner shrimp and a smaller 6-line wrasse...expensive fish food.

target feeding them can be tricky,
they are very messy in a reef environment,
and they don't care what they rest on while hunting

finicky little guys as well, mine stopped eating after trying to scarf down a morsel to big for it's mouth
just kinda gave up

Love mine. He is actually out alot begging for food. He takes turns hanging out with all the other fish. Make sure it's eating before you get one or you'll be having to get feeders and hope you can train it. Mine is a little pig now but in the beginning he would only eat frozen when I danced it thru the water and let it go when he came up to it. Slowly added less and less live food till he only got frozen. At first had to be whole fish if only part he wouldn't go near it but now he don't care as long as it fits in his mouth!
