Funnel in skimmer???


should the cyclone in the back of my skimmer be small and tight together or should i not be able to see a the cyclone and it be loose?


also should there be little bubbles going back into the tank?

pics would be awesome

hi josh,
sounds like it is time to clean the skimer really good,
the seacone cyclone skimmer shoudl produce a large( 3/4 of the tubing ) funnel. you will always get a few bubbles in to the tank ( not a lot mind you) but that is a fault of how it is made.
if your skimmer is a new one. and under 2 weeks old it is in the brak in time right now. you shoudl be seeing a change in it very soon. you may have to pla with the air in let valuve on the top of the tubing to get it just right..
also make sure you keep that black sponge materail clean that covers the pump!
