fun mishap of the day

well, i tried to get as much tank turnover as i could by opening the return valves a little more. it looked stable, so i went and had some dinner. I came back and found a nice waterfall. the plastic float got sucked down somehow, and no water was let through while the pumps pumped full force. the floats are history. good thing i caught it in time, the mess wasnt too bad at all.

have you considered replacing the float arrangement with a Durso Standpipe mod. Hi volume and nil noise

Hmm, I've been running my AGA float overflow for a year and a half now on my 65. Granted I dont have alot of flow, only a mag 7, but it never gets stuck. Of course, I routienly clean it.
