fuge or no fuge?

ok so far I have a 55 gallon tank that i am making a reef. I eventually want a Bubble Tip Anenome and clowns, maybe a tang? , various softies , xenias. These will be sitting under 440w of vho. Would it be benificial to the system to put in a refugium?? If so how would i configure my sump? If it would not help me what would be the best design for a 20L sump??I have a Hang on skimmer so one of the chambers will only need to hold a pump and a return.
