frogspawn question

my frogspawn has been doing great for 6 months & sometimes has a bubble in the middle..well the bubble is getting bigger & shes not as "green" as she use to be. 3 heads but only 1 bubble. I just got a nice RO-DI & thats when the color started fading but she.s getting very..err.. puffy I guess is the best way to describe her.
I guess the question is, Do I need to get a male frogspawn??? LOL
What's going on here??

Do you have a picture? If you can post one it'll help.

pix.

The anemone do not need others of their kind in the tank to survive or thrive. Loss of color is usually (but not always) an indication that the lighting is not sufficient.

Pix ill help, as well as an indication of your husbandry schedule and water parameters.

29 gal with a 250 W MH is possibly too much light. Could be that the coral is bleaching. Check temperature and raise the light a bit, or move the coral lower in the tank.

I was given a similar coral about 2 years ago, that had bleached in a 58 under 2 x 250 W MH and it was almost transparent from tossing its zooxanthellae. Put it in my tank under less intense light - you should see it now ... green with pink tips, it's gorgeous.

that's what I get for so many late nights in a row. heh that's why I need pix!

Jenn has brought up a good point, these are not always high light creatures and may need less light, however, listing your parameters will keep us from having to guess..

OK, I will shut up and watch from the sidelines

I remember you, Bob You've gotta see the big tank... it's got a few hungry pigs in it and the cabinet work is all done... Still finishing up details on the FW expansion but it's getting there, I think you'll see some big changes since you were in last.

Cheers,

Jenn

Thanks for the comments Bob, it was a challenging venue, never had to compete with anything as loud as those birds were, fortunately the crowd was large and Chris's wife was good with the birds...

LOL...I've got birds now... my pets but they live in the shop, where I spend most of my waking hours...

They can sure squawk... but they also say, "I love you" and they whistle at you

From what I have read, when a frog spawn has a bubble develope, it usually means a new head is forming. Just from what i have read, I have one now and no bubble is happening yet. I'm usually from reefcentral.com. That is their opinion. It doesn't seem bad to me as I have seen it in a friends tank recently. Tank looked great, so it is probably a good sign.

Thats what I'm thinking liz...She seems happy but kinna lite colored after the addition of Ro-DI but that could be cause of Gin clear water & yes 250 MH on a 29 gal mite be a little overkill but the 90 is in the works.
thanx for the input gang..
Gotta run.. my son hates me playing on his PC...gonna ck. his history after he goes to bed... LOL
