Friendly Reminder
Just a friendly reminder that The Reef Tank is intended, and will always be operated, as a friendly, flame-free community where no one needs to be hesitant to ask questions, give answers, or post comments. We don't want to have to delete or edit posts but on rare occasions, it is necessary to help carry out our intended mission. Personal attacks; derogatory or negative off-had remarks; and the like cannot be tolerated.
Here are our guiding principles:
Our Mission Statement:
To provide a supportive, flame-free environment for beginning and experienced aquarists to share ideas, ask questions, and learn about the marine and reef keeping hobby. To educate ourselves and others about responsible animal husbandry, promoting captive-raised livestock and aquacultured corals when possible.
And the terms of usage each member subscribes to upon registration:
"You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this message board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law."
The bottom line here is that TRT was conceived and will always operate as a friendly community where expert and beginner alike can seek, receive and share information without hassles and flames while having a good time and making friends. Please help keep it that way.

Yes, indeed!
This board is the way everyone should treat others all the time! I don't think anyone would raise their kids to be mean-spirited, and adults shouldn't behave any differently!
Thanks to the wonderful (and high paid, I might add) moderators to keep this place a great place to visit.
Let's hear it for the moderators!!

Uh huh. We at TRT go beyond poor judgement.
We drop it altogether!
PS: hey spam, I know. Just having fun.

Hey Paul, no, its the bow of the Marathon Lady, a party boat out of Marathon. Was on her two or three years ago... you can't see it real well, but we were heading back in with a squal off the starboard bow. Great operation. http://fishfloridakeys.com/marathonlady/
