Its a great practice to get into before bringing zoa's and other polyps into a tank. Before doing this though its recommended to bring the pure water to the same pH as the tank ideally between 8.0-8.4 as well as making sure the water is equal in temperature to the tank your putting them in. This will help reduce stress. Once you got your dip ready give em a good swish and stir in this sollution. You'll notice right away amphipods, crabs, and hopefully
mantis shrimp and nudis if any were on there immediately bail out. Once this is done you can put it in the tank. Er, your QT tank right?
