Temp Canopy and Wiring.
Just a couple of pics I did some Electrical wiring and routing there is still more to do but I have a good start. Here are a couple of pics.
No funny comments on the make shift canopy it's going to be a little bit before I can afford to buy the hardwood so I had to make something real quick.
the temporary light holder.
PH probe holder and temp holder made from some scrap acrylic.
Some electrical with wire management.
the ac3 controler and a view from the other side.

Looks good. I had to use the zip tie mount on one of my controllers too. You figure neptune would come out with a decent mount for their controllers that hides the wires and allows for a flush mount.

Ya they gave me velcro but the glue didnot stick to the back of the controler and kept hitting the ground on my other tank.
this is just a temp location the new one will be in the upper back area where the plumbling goes to the sump.

The Velcro worked in my wetroom for the acIII but the AC jr on the tank itself just didn't hold. I keep meaning to build a rack that the units sit into that hides the wires, but allows me to remove the unit... But I just have not got to it yet.
Maybe you mentioned it, but what are you going to wrap the stand and canopy in? Just trying to envision the tank a little further on.

Some kind of hard wood. IE oak, Mahogony, Cherry or some other wood I can't afford right now.
we will probably stain the wood the same color as the rest of the trim you see in the house. but you know thats moma's choice.

Cooking Rocks.
As previouly mentioned I bought some live rock form craigslist on sunday. I got it home threw it in a bin with a mag 12 or 7 not sure anyway i covered the bin with the pump running check a few hours later and boy the water was prob 90 degres is this ok or should i try to cool the water temp.
I thought cooking the roch had nothing to do with boiling it
thanks

It's fine... it's a little hot, but not too hot. In theory it should speed the process... And maybe smell a little worse. You may lose some of the life you normally would have saved. The key is to keep it over 78-ish degrees. if it's too cold the process can take a really long time.

plumbing
Just a Quick Update, Tomight I plumbed the tank. It came out alomst the way I wanted it. I have run out of room though. I am going to have a hard time making room for a calcium reactor. I'm sure I'll find room but it may not be under the stand will see. it will be a little bit before I need one.
my hands are blue from the glue. and I did not make enough ro water to finish the job. however I can say the durso return to the sump is super quiet when i poured 5 gallons of water down it.
I'll post some pics tomm.
