Fragging A Pagoda Cup Coral

If I want to frag my pagoda cup coral do I have to make sure I cut the frag with one of the polyps? If I don't get a polyp but only get the actual ridge will it start to grown then grow the polyp?

Everything I have read says you can cut them up with something like a band saw. i even found a couple posts here where people used a dremel tool. I think the only thing that really matters is making sure it does not get too hot when you cut it.

I have fragged mine several times with a dremel with a diamond wheel. I would try and get a polyp with the frag for proper growth. Mine have always healed within a week.

I usually use a diamond wheel on a dremmel.
I would also get a polyp just to be sure
