fraggin toadstoll


How would one go about doing this? Its a 12 inch toadstool leather and its to big for my tank but for 10 dollars i couldnt pass it up.

You can slice it at the stalk. Or some will slice the head up like you would a pie. May ways to frag a toadstool. Happy fragging. heh

Have also heard the you slice in a cricle around the outer rim. Just cut the whole outer rim off and then cut these into sections and put them on live rock rubble with some bridal veil and rubber band to hold them on the rock until they anchor themselves.

I've done all three ways and I think the method Travis discribed is best for just reducing the size of the cap. A sharp pair of scissors works best, or a long very sharp knife. A razor is generally too small and ends up with a hack job. You want to cut quickly and cleanly to avoid doing too much damage. To attach the frags, I prefer to sew them to a rock very loosely. Just take a needle and thread and pass once through the frag and tie to the rock loose enough that the thread does not press against the frag. Too tight and the thread will slice the frag in two. If you decapitate it, leave the stem. It will grow a new head, although it will take much longer than if you just cut the edge off.
