Fragged out :)

Just finished mounting 42 frags...

I would have gotten more of this electric-blue-tipped Acropora, but there just weren't many already-bropken bits of it lying around. Looks REALLY amazing when in water, haha. Lots of blue colonies this year ...

Hope it grows fast.
I also got green and the usual brown Acro frags. Lots of those.

Plus, on a whim, I picked up a loose blob of lavender Anthelia(?). Softies usually aren't my cup of tea, but... there was a meadow of these --all shades of blue, violet, and fuschia. The 'frag' has already attached to the base I provided it with, though the color seems to have faded a wee bit.

It came from a cooler part of the reef and my basins may be a tad warm.

horge, dark

All I can say is that you are one lucky guy Horge. I can only dream of collecting my own frags.

Good idea, Dennis! Then after you keep it and it grows, you can share it with me down in SC...

Actually...
The real reason I got the Anthelia is that, unlike stony coral, it may NOT be banned from export from the Philippines. If I can smuggl---

...I mean, err, ....legally bring it over this March (and if it survives the trip), I was hoping a TRT'er with solid experience in propagating soft stuff could have a go at it.

Then maybe all TRT'ers who wanted could have it eventually, hehe.

Uhmm, wait.
That would mean "all TRT'ers' ..except me!

Wow, Horge!!! What a haul!!
Now, you need to develop a 40 gallon self-contained eco-system suitcase for your upcoming visit!! Just make sure to Duct Tape the seams so the MH light won't shine out and give it away!

I nominate TD as the host of the Anthelia colony since he's only a couple hours away from me.

What is your plan for the Acro frags? Are you going to use them as part of your reef restoration effort?
Dick
