Question

Frag tank Q

I was thinking last night about haw to get the most out of my zoa's/LPS/SPS & soft's and shroom's frag when I went out to have a smoke and was looking in to the basement form the deck out back its s strat run from my sump to the wendo where I can safely put a 75G/Tall and it can get some sunlight and a (??) came to me (WHY CANT I PUT A FRAG TANK THERE) and let the sun feed them the light and put a top on the tank so water can't get into the tank but I can. The temp wont be eney problem my basement stays at 65to70 all the time and with good water running to the tank I would think the timp will stay the same as the basement and if not I can put them back in the house like I will do in the wenter time's
I want to know what you all THINK too? or

i think we are bit confused. is the tank going inside? from the pic it looks like it is going on the outside? how many hours of direct sunlight will the window get? you need at least 3 hours.

i really do not know. i know it is possible to keep tanks outside. as long as you can keep rain water and other external stuff from getting in the tank you should be fine. you will need to keep your nutrients extremely low though. you will be right in the wheelhouse for algae using natural sunlight.
