FLower Pot Coral has white tips

I added a flower Pot Coral to my tank about 11 days ago and noticed last night that it had white tips on each of its arms. I am not sure what this means or if it is normal. Tanks Chemistry is right on - Two nights ago I started to drip Kalk for the first time - about 5 ml to a gallon dripped one drop each 40 seconds. I also have added a UV Sterilzer and man is the water clear - WOW

Anybody have any thoughts on this - Should I be supplementing with and foods or is it fine using just light to feed itself?

Any htoughts would be much appreciated.

Have a great weekend

KJ

Hey KJ!!

I wish I could help you with your flower pot problem. Flowerpot corals should not be sold except to very experienced hobbyists and even then very few people can keep these beautiful corals alive for any length of time.

They have no real answer to keeping these corals although some have said "high nutrients" keep them alive as they need alot of plankton for several feedings a day!

Maybe someone else can off you some advice but don't feel bad I have been there too and had a flowerpot and it died in about three months. Johnny
