float valve installation

I wanna install a float valve but since i dont know how it works im leery. even if it shuts the water off at the ro faucet, wont it create too much pressure in the tank, or at the place where its hooked up under the sink?

What kind of float valve, what are you hooking it up on, and what is it connected to?

those systems tend to have a float valve for increasing the pressure on the outlet side of the filter. there is generally also a ASO (auto-shut-off) valve at the filter. when the pressure gets backed up from the float valve it trips the ASO valve which shuts off the supply line into the filter. that way you are not running the filter and increasing the pressure behind the float valve.
