There are types of flatworms that will eat coral, but they would only be on the coral if that were the case. If you treated your tank with FW exit then you may be in big trouble. when FW's die they let off toxins that can kill coral and fish. I never treat a tank with the stuff, i always use it as a dip and then rinse like crazy. you may need a large waterchange and fast if they don't improve soon

I can't remember if your the one I warned against the FWE or not. I think you prolly need to run a bunch of GAC to remove the toxins and do several 25percent water changes.

FWE will kill almost all of the FWs but they will be back. The best way to get rid of them is to get all your corals out of the tank and make a large sudden change in salinity (temp or pH will also work but salinity is easiest). They will disintigrate immediatly. Run GAC on the system and do several 20percent water changes on the system to clear toxins and bring salinity back to normal. Not sure if you should do this last part as a return stratagy or not so someone else should chime in here to confirm or deny it---> fresh water dip everything before returning them back to the system.

Flat worms are extremely sensitive to changes in salinity (pH and temp).

Some are immune to FWE that is why you didn't kill them all and that is why I suggested the drastic change in salinity. No FW will be immune to the salinity change. The ones that lived through th FWE treatment will split to make more FW that are immune to FWE and next time they get to plague proportions and you treat with FWE you will kill a smaller percentage of them and it will you will go though a cycle to where you will not be able to kill them at all with FWE.

Yes and you also need to know that you will have a mini cycle from it.
