Flat worm infestation!

OK, I took a close look at my rock and am seeing hundreds (NO exaggeration) of these little red flat worms about the size of a pencil tip. Do I need to worry about removing them? Is there a natural predator? What could keep their population in check?

Salifert EXIT - is the way to go. There is no known natural predator - some have stated that their "fish" (sixline's, ect) eats them. I have not seen this myself. Just read the instructions and follow them. Make sure you have carbon on hand "before" you start the treatment and also extra water for a WC. When I treated our tank - it's a mixed tank from softies to sps, clams and a rose.

Ditto on the Salifert Exit. Follow the instructions to the letter.

read JennM's post on EXIT...she had some REAL problems (because of the # of worms in the tank) with her attempt.

if you have the capability to do it, I would recommend a holding tank for your live goods.

In the instructions, it says to siphon as much out as possible. That is the key and should be done. This will lessen the amount of toxins released into the tank. You can use a turkey baster to do this, a little more control. As mentioned follow the instructions.
