"Flake food" Disease on Button Polyps?

Hi TRT
I have a small colony of button polyps in my tank. I noticed a few of them closing and turning white a few days ago. Now it looks like there is brown "flake food" on the dying polyps. I also notice this "FF" on the sand just below the colony. It is the only coral affected, and all water parameters are good. Any ideas of a disease or fungus that sounds like this?...Thanks in advance....Anthony

Yes it is a fugus that effects zoa,s. I have not heard of a treatment for it, but i have not looked ether. So there might be one out there.
I did get a colony that had that appear on them. I seperated the infected part from the rest. The part i removed lived the infected frag died off.

I feed a wide variety of foods. I feed frozen marine cuisine and mysis, as well as cyclopeeze and bioplankton twice a week. My other corals are showing great development..But this colony is struggling.....It had an aiptasia infestation which I handled with Joe's Juice. Ever since then I have seen this behavior. I have mant thriving LPS and softies, and like I said this is the only piece affected...I am at a loss...

supposedly you can try iodine dips or can use a dip of freshwater aquarium antibiotics(I think its tetracycline but not sure) there were some threads on this on RC

I had a fungus problem and did a lugols(iodine) dip and it helped a lot.
