Fish talk-Assessors & dottybacks

I've finally come to the conclusion, with all of your advice, that an an angel fish has no place in the building of my reef. I had my heart set on a yellow assessor, but cannot seem to find one.

Other fish, I am looking at, are Black cap basslet and neon dottyback. They are both beautiful. what can you tell me about their dispositions? Should I buy a pair, instead of one?

I'm also intending to add a couple of blood red shrimp.

These will be the first inhabitants.

Advice would help, as I need to order this morning. Thanks!

my understanding of the basslets and dottybacks are(I could be wrong) is that only one per tank. I also think they be aggressive little fish so add them last. I have a royal gramma basslet I added him last to my 150 and have had no problems with him. Check those out.

i would stick with one per tank. i would shy away from the dottyback though. psuedochromis are mean little buggers. on the order of damsels. if a peacefull tank is what you are looking for than i would not add a pseudochromis.

Loved the blackcap I had. They're not very agressive feeders though, I think mine starved due to competition.
