I can't do it with my camera either... soon as you turn the flash off there doesn't seem to be enough options to get enough light in and take a quick enough shot...
good looking fish though!

Thanks guys I will try to get a full tank shot tomorrow when the lights come on and the fish are out I have a short work day tomorrow.

The trick is to use a flash and a high film speed(iso400 or better). Most high end digitals have a setting that mimics film speed(although that's where you'll begin to see more graininess in the photos). Ideally with a digital you can set the camera up on a tripod and let it run on auto fire for say ten or so pics at a time and just grab the ones that look good.
