Fish picking at coral

We recently added our first corals to the tank--zoas, hammer and a torch coral. Now, our butterfly fish is picking at them!!! Arggh! We always knew she *might* do it, but I was just hoping we'd get lucky.

Anyway, now I think we need to get rid of her. I have no idea how we'll catch her though.

ask your lfs if they have a commercial fish trap for this situation, if not, you can cut the top off a 2 liter pepsi bottle, invert it and shove it back into the bottom, so it makes a funnel that fills the bottom part. bait it and sink it, (you might also have to cut the "tip" larger so the fish can actually fit in)
fish swim in, cant swim out, pull it out and bag it.

Butterflies in coral tanks are not a good risk! Good luck catching it! Trap sound good to me, also!

Thanks for the trap idea. First, I'll try to catch her. She's amazingly bold and doesn't really swim away when my hand is in the tank, so maybe.

She's a cool fish, so I'm sort of sad to see her go, but no choice really.

the bottle worked for me. Ive found that sometimes its easier to put floating foods in the tank and when they are trying to get the food they wont pay as much attention to you. Make sure your net is big enough.
Good luck
