First day of nano

Whats going on guys

I have a 2.5 gal nano up and running, why i wait for my 40 breeder to be setup.

It has been up for one day, but the water i used is part of my old work(LFS) reef setup.

I have a 10watt bulb in the tank, with a rio powerfilter and a small heater.

10+Lbs of LR
6 small snail,
4 small hermits,
Coral banded shrimp.

I will psot pics as soon as i get my camera fixed.

But i have a little q, i put the shrimp in there today and after 4/5 hours af him moving and exploring, he molted, but leaving a claw behind?!

Is this normal? will it grow back or am i stuck with a one armed banded shrimp

thank you in advance
chris

yea, every now and then a molt can go wrong and they leave a leg, claw, or antennae behind. if it happens more than once than you might need to up the water changes. there is some research out there that point to a good balance of trace elements help them to molt. i am in no way saying to suppliment, i feel that is bad. if water changes are done regularly and of appropriate amount than suppliments are not needed. except for Ca and alk in those heavily stocked stony tanks.
