The top fin that resembles a flag mast is hypothesized to be a communication between fellow Firefish. Whats girly, manly or otherwise about communicating with ones own species???

Maybe he got attacked by a tang with a shank. Earning the girly firefish some "street cred", which now makes him the man.

He'll be as good as new in no time! This happened with my firefish from time to time, as well.

I wouldn't think my new Lamarck got a hold of him. He's been too shy. It's amazing that I even got a pic of him today!
