Finger Leather

I have a finger leather and all of a sudden there are white spots showing up on some of the tips and other places. Anyone know why that might be happening? Right now it is pretty close to the power head and is slowly swaying back and forth. (not too much current hitting it.)

Uh Oh, sounds like you may have tisue necrosis setting in. You might want to do an iodine dip on it before it gets too bad, Good Luck

just dip it in the iodine additive that i place in my tank 2x week? Is that the right kind of iodine?

Right iodine, but you need to take out some tank water and add a couple drops , dip the coral for a minute or so then return it to the tank. Hopefully someone will post regarding the proper ratio of water/iodine. Remember this stuff is very toxic in mass

I'm horribly unscientific about idodine dips, I'm afraid. Maybe someone can give you a ratio. I slowly add the iodine a couple of drops at a time until the water is just barely tinted yellow. If I add too much, I take out some of the water and add more tank water.
