Exclamation

Finally another web site update

i have updated my website finally. about half of the total DIY stuff has been added. the chiller, skimmer, and kalkreactor. if i can find a quiet pump (still waiting for the new quiet ones to come out), i will add the CLS section to it.

thanks,

G~

I'm really intersted in building a nielsen reactor.
It looks like it can replace the high tech calcium reactor, which seems to be more difficult to DIY.
I have one question: I currently have a Mag 2 (brand new). Can I use this pump on a Nielsen? or is it too much flow (250 gph) ?.

i think you could use it, i would expand it to 6" pipe though, or make the main chamber much taller. what you are looking to not do is get the undisolved mix up to the outlet, so it goes into the tank. other than that it does not matter what pump you use. it is just the lower gph pumps you do not have to worry about it as much.

Thanks Geoff!

Your site is very useful. Many sites have a lot of info (but you have to scroll down for hours). Yours particularly is very precise with not much text.... Thanks for sharing.
I hope we can see some of the latest pictures of your tank.

As far as the pump goes, I think I might have a small powerhead (it delivers ~ 95 gph, not really sure!). I'll check though.
