fighting conch

I really like these guys and want one. I know that they burrow, but I've got a BB tank. Do you think I could still make one a good home? I had one before, and it was only barried about half of the time. I'm thinking as long as I keep him fed, he'd be ok. Experts....?

Fighting conchs clean the sandbed. They do not climb on live rock. IMO they would starve in a BB tank...just would not be natural for them.

Why not go with a Queen conch? They climb on live rock. (and probably knock everything over.)

I've got a fighting conch, 2", in my BB tank, it's fine. I do have to flip him over every once in a while if he strays into the CLS jet stream. He really helped with a small diatom problem I had.
