If you're giving it meaty foods once a week it won't die.

What kind of lighting do you have?

Is there/are there clowns hosting in it? Often clowns will keep the anemone fed.

I put a BTA in a client's tank 7 years ago - they never feed it but the clowns they have do - and they only feed flakes (!!!), frozen is very occasional. We service the tank every other week.

That small BTA of 7 years became 4 HUGE BTA. I removed 2 about 4 months ago, leaving 2 great big ones to split again.

Relax - yours isn't likely to just drop dead.

That should be ample light. The one(s) I described I placed in a tank 7 years ago - 52-g corner tank under 130 watts of PC (65 watts 10,000K, 65 watts actinic).

Here's a thread with pix that I posted several months ago - see for yourself.

I feed my anemones two times per week. If they are not hungry, they won't latch onto the food. I very seldom see my clowns take any food into their anemones. I have mated pairs of tomatoes, maroons, and black percs. They almost always eat the food before they get back to the anemone. If they don't think they are getting their fair share of food, they try to take it away from the anemone.

I try to feed mine but I am lucky he he accepts food more than once every three weeks. However, I do have a clown that hosts him and I use marine snow also, so I am sure he filter feeds on that.
